Arsonic Bday Breakfast

It's Arsonic Anita's birthday today!
And we had breakfast!!

Pauline & AnitaOk I look sleepy & Pauline look so fresh

That is, after some considerable persuasion on our part, she decided to give in to our suggestion of having a birthday breakfast coz she claimed that there's no way she can wake up after having 2 papers on Friday. (If is Pauline, I know how to wake her up loh..hahah put clock with rooster crowing.)

Anyways, I got up late and reached late SIGHZZ coz didn't sleep the whole of Thurs night to prep for OB and Lodging on Friday. Had bfast at delifrance at Taka. Ironically, it was Ivy's suggestion but she couldn't make it coz of cramps and funny, we didn't had the buffet I so anticipated on Friday after the papers. We ate 3 different sets of breakfast and I think Anita's set was the most pleasing -- Scrambled eggs and waffles with maple syrup. *drool* Pauline's was most eggy. And mine was scrambled eggs ham and some tomato thinggie which Pauline was making screeching noises at. And then we sat there yak until bfast time over cannot refill our coffees, so ben dan loh!!!! Waste $$$.

And yeah, we were laughing like shit the whole time at delifrance.
(Just like the way we laughed so loudly at the IG bench that Ms Ng had to come out of the staff room to comment blatantly 'you guys are gossiping about us behind the pillars again, we can hear from the staff room u know!!')

We were picturing this splendid idea of getting our lecturers involve in a survival style virtual reality game. Or rather, we were trying to assign each other roles such that we can put up a performance, acting like our lecturers and making the whole HTB laugh like siao. Then put the most ridiculous combination of lect in the some tribe e.g. Mr Wong, Mr Chia, Mr Aloysius Lee and Mr Lou. (EHH how to get them really do it in *real life* is one thing. Do they even talk to each other?) ANywAYS, HAHAHAHAH this is sucha funny combi tribe. The rest of the lecturers we haven't really materialized their respective tribes but I know these 4 MUST be together man HAHAZ.

Like we came up with some script that goes like:
One fine day, all the lecturers we know all kenna stuck on RobinsonCrusoe Island.
It was 12noon.

Mr Wong: Daniel, Aloysius, Terence, why not we go for lunch? Food is important you know...

Mr Chia: (instantly) Riiiiight.

Mr A. Lee: Nee Tat, I think that's not a bad idea. But where to start combing for food? I can't climb trees.

Mr Lou: (silent all this while, finally spoke up) I think we should be concerned whether we can get out of this place. I'm worried for our students. Without me, they cannot pass accounting.

Mr Wong: (injected in quickly with lodsa action) No but you see, Terence, lunch is very important for our body you know. Without food we cannot survive.

Mr Lou: I get your point. Why not we split up and look for food?

Mr A. Lee: Hold on guys, I can't climb trees. I'm only good at golfing. Oh man, how are we gonna survive??? (Subconsciously squat down and start digging holes on the ground.)

Mr Chia: Well, I can cook. Find me some grapes and I'll ferment them into wines. (twinkle in his beady eyes)

Mr Lou: (looking blank) Huh?

Mr Wong: Aloysius, listen to me. We can survive. But first we must strategize. You know what I mean? We can split up, comb the island to see what is it like, how big and ALSO look for food.

Hahahah. I'll be continuing the script later on....

Virgin Ettusais Makeover

Yup, I've been really lagging lately.
It's been ages since I updated my blog.
Blame it on flagging deadlines and fiesty lecturers. I guess that's why you call it island school life.

I went out with Kx on Sunday for a makeover at Metro Paragon. She won it. Figuratively.

Technically, those guys from NewUrbanMale were hooked by her and they decided to give her more than one complimentary makeover at Ettusais. We accredited that to her sudden bloom of 'peach blossom' for the month. And being her friend, I benefitted from it naturally. BHwahaha. (She heard this not.) *wiNk*

The makeover was fine, decidedly. It looked pretty thick on Kx; she had powery foundation. But it looked great on her, really. The light green eyeshadow and all complimented her grandly given her matching package of black tank and lime green sling that day. In fact, some other makeup foundation owould have oxidised after some hours but she was cool and every bit natural. Yup, my dear Kx, you look pretty!!! *Imagine Ken's drooling face* hahaha.

I opted for liquid foundation coz I wanna a less cakey look. The lady was really nice and all -- didn't try that hard and didn't bother to upsell either. At the end of it all, I looked normal, as usual. The purple eyeshadow and multi-layered foundation base didn't impress me that much. In fact, no matter what gunk there is on my face, I have always looked like the plain Jane next door. (Yes, my neighbour's Jane.) I guess, I just have to accept life as it is.

After Makeover

And then, we headed to Spaghetti's.

Ok, who am I thinking of???

Yes, my foursome IVY sprang to my mind!!

I sms her for recommendations and ordered according to her instructions. The crayfish dish looked intriguing. But wasn't that fresh though but my good-natured friend's not that picky plus the delicious spaghetti more than offset the disappointment caused by the dead crustacean. And my grilled chicken spaghetti was really really nice! I love the sauteed mushrooms especially. They were soft, gentle and buttery on the palate and literally melted instantaneously. And we sat there, read Straits Times (yeshhh, we're intellectuals), laughed about everything we could think of and drank the iced water till we practically ballooned to heaven.

And the verdict of Spaghetti's at Paragon? Service was alright and all; except that slight 'glitch' caused by the unfresh crayfish. (Kx and I were laughing about the guy who was supposed to be on his way to the restroom when he passed by us waiting at the stand and decided to turn back to usher us in. I guess you call that 'work ethics' hahaha poor thing. He must have felt guilty despite the 'urgency' of his problem.) Which reminds me, all that service marketing jargon that we've all learnt does apply. Yup, you're so right there ivy.... variability of service did sum it all :)

And we went to check out MAC counter at Tangs and then Sasaa. And I bought a new finishing powder and a peachy blush. Gosh. Vanity is extravagant indeed.
