Virgin Ettusais Makeover

Yup, I've been really lagging lately.
It's been ages since I updated my blog.
Blame it on flagging deadlines and fiesty lecturers. I guess that's why you call it island school life.

I went out with Kx on Sunday for a makeover at Metro Paragon. She won it. Figuratively.

Technically, those guys from NewUrbanMale were hooked by her and they decided to give her more than one complimentary makeover at Ettusais. We accredited that to her sudden bloom of 'peach blossom' for the month. And being her friend, I benefitted from it naturally. BHwahaha. (She heard this not.) *wiNk*

The makeover was fine, decidedly. It looked pretty thick on Kx; she had powery foundation. But it looked great on her, really. The light green eyeshadow and all complimented her grandly given her matching package of black tank and lime green sling that day. In fact, some other makeup foundation owould have oxidised after some hours but she was cool and every bit natural. Yup, my dear Kx, you look pretty!!! *Imagine Ken's drooling face* hahaha.

I opted for liquid foundation coz I wanna a less cakey look. The lady was really nice and all -- didn't try that hard and didn't bother to upsell either. At the end of it all, I looked normal, as usual. The purple eyeshadow and multi-layered foundation base didn't impress me that much. In fact, no matter what gunk there is on my face, I have always looked like the plain Jane next door. (Yes, my neighbour's Jane.) I guess, I just have to accept life as it is.

After Makeover

And then, we headed to Spaghetti's.

Ok, who am I thinking of???

Yes, my foursome IVY sprang to my mind!!

I sms her for recommendations and ordered according to her instructions. The crayfish dish looked intriguing. But wasn't that fresh though but my good-natured friend's not that picky plus the delicious spaghetti more than offset the disappointment caused by the dead crustacean. And my grilled chicken spaghetti was really really nice! I love the sauteed mushrooms especially. They were soft, gentle and buttery on the palate and literally melted instantaneously. And we sat there, read Straits Times (yeshhh, we're intellectuals), laughed about everything we could think of and drank the iced water till we practically ballooned to heaven.

And the verdict of Spaghetti's at Paragon? Service was alright and all; except that slight 'glitch' caused by the unfresh crayfish. (Kx and I were laughing about the guy who was supposed to be on his way to the restroom when he passed by us waiting at the stand and decided to turn back to usher us in. I guess you call that 'work ethics' hahaha poor thing. He must have felt guilty despite the 'urgency' of his problem.) Which reminds me, all that service marketing jargon that we've all learnt does apply. Yup, you're so right there ivy.... variability of service did sum it all :)

And we went to check out MAC counter at Tangs and then Sasaa. And I bought a new finishing powder and a peachy blush. Gosh. Vanity is extravagant indeed.
